Bluegrass Junction from Sunday December 2, 2012. This is the end of a long road I’ve traveled at WUOG, my last show as DJ of Bluegrass Junction. I started this show in January 2008, almost five years ago, and have enjoyed every minute of it. There’s been lots of sacrifices made to make this show possible but it has been worth it in my opinion. Many a listener of Bluegrass Junction has called in or told me in person how much they enjoy the show and the music I brought them. Becoming a part of college radio was one of the things that drew me to UGA back in 2007. I would like to thank Rich Mullinax, Buddy Blackmon, Ellen Day, Art Rosenbaum, Don Gilbert, David Hildreath, Troy Aubrey, Richard Worley, and many others who supported me in the production of this radio show over the years. My cohost, Andrew James is ready to take Bluegrass Junction into 2013 and I feel confident he will do a fine job. But, my radio days are not over! I have been hired as the new DJ of “Sunday Night Bluegrass” at 92.3 FM WMOQ Bostwick/Monroe. You can still hear me play the best of traditional Bluegrass(new & old) every Sunday from 7-10pm on 92.3 FM and live over the web at wmoqfm.com. I plan to continue what I do best; bringing listeners the best couple hours of some of the best music God ever created, Bluegrass. So now after 150 shows, multiple interviews, multiple bluegrass concerts in Athens, and 300+ hours of radio ait time, I say THANKS!
