Today I loosely based the show around the music of various countries in Asia (minus a brief rai interlude).  Japanese, Indian, Iranian, as well as some indigenous Burmese flute music.  I tried my best to make it fit with the insane amounts of rain that were drowning Athens today.

here’s the first officially streamed Global Warming!  Hooray!  If you like, the playlist for this show can be found here.  Next week I’ll be playing with Geisterkatzen for Noise in the Lobby, so the old host of this show, Nicki, will be back for a little international reunion of sorts.  After that … well … tune in Thursdays to find out!

what is this global warming you speech of?

Global Warming is your premium source of world and international music, every Thursday from 7-8 pm on WUOG.  That means anything from Bollywood to the Balkans can (and will) grace our airwaves through the course of the semester.

There’s a lot more internationally-minded shows this semester, so I suggest you check them out as well, though Global Warming will always be your favorite, of course…  There’s William’s show “Afrika!” right before GW from 6-7 pm.  There’s Taste of the Islands, Soviet Block, Maui Wowie Boat Tour, and our old faves Down by the Salley Gardens and the Show from Ipanema.
