HHHS 7-24-09: ORDER UP!!!

Sincerest of apologies for the delay in getting this post up, but the production room was mysteriously locked over the weekend so I couldn’t get in, edit and post like I want to. But anywho, this past Friday, we had the opportunity to do a new installment of “The Leak” featuring Nobody Famous newest project “Order Up! Volume 3: Chicken and Waffles” which is out TODAY for download on both Amazon.com and iTunes. It’s definitely one of those albums that has a little bit of something for everybody and feels like a complete album. Still not convinced? Kevinnottingham.com is currently streaming the entire album for free so you can hear it in its entirity. Nobody Famous has been and will always be family here on the HHHS, so it definitely has the HHHS Seal of Approval.

In other news, this past show also featured new music from Trav Williams, Slaugtherhouse, OJ Simpson (Guilty Simpson & Madlib), MC Lyte, Fokis, and more. Also, a new installment of “Diamonds in the Rough” and a new #1 on The Starting Line Up Countdown. Next week (well I guess it’s this week since Friday is on the come up), we’ll announce more acts for “Crunk in the Lobby X: The Last Stand” set for August 14th, 2009. We will keep mentioning it all the way up to the day of because it’s going to be historic and definitely worth checking out. But until that time, enjoy the rest of the week and we’ll see you Friday!!

As promised, this week we came back in full force with a slew of premieres from the likes of Dead Prez, Killer Mike, Skyzoo, Red Cafe, Rakim, Mr. Benjamin and more. Also, urban music heads and of course Nottinghammers were in for a treat with Mr. Kevin Nottingham coming through and spitting some knowledge about the transition from having one of the most viewed and respected urban music blogsites on the Internet to going full speed ahead into the territory as CEO of HiPNOTT Records. The interview also featured premieres of new music from his roster including the second single from Nobody Famous anticipated project “Order Up Vol. 3: Chicken & Waffles” which we will be doing a new installment of “The Leak” for it next week.

Elsewhere, there was a new installment of “Diamonds in the Rough,” some new details revealed about “Crunk in the Lobby X: The Last Stand” including announcements of two of the performers, and U.B.C. having a shot of being put into the “HHHS: Hall of Fame.” on The Starting Line Up Countdown. All this and more in this week’s jam packed show.

We’re looking to do it again next Friday, with more CITL X announcements, The Leak of Order Up Vol. 3, and much much more. Enjoy the weekend! One Love.

HHHS 7-10-09: Taking It Easy

This week was a bit on the lax side, but even with some technical difficulties (from DJ Scratch), we brought in the usual suspects (Throwback, SoClassic, etc), a couple of new faces on both Diamonds in the Rough and the Starting Line Up Countdown. U.B.C. gunning for that #1 spot for the fourth week this week. Could they be one step closer into reaching the Hall of Fame or will someone finally knock them off the top spot. All this and more in this week’s show. Check out the show next week, with a slew of premieres and a new installment of “The Leak” featuring “A Taste of HipNOTT” and the label’s CEO Kevin Nottingham will be coming through with the knowledge. In the meantime, have a relaxing weekend!! One Love!!
