Halftime Hip Hop Show

Two weeks since CITL X: The Last Stand, and the momentum doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. This week, we were in for a major treat as Money B. of the LEGENDARY Digital Underground came through with the knowledge of life after D.U. as well as premiere his new record featuring 2Pac and Scott Knoxxx from his star-studded album Also, a certified legend in his own right, Curtison “Son-1″ Jones, stopped by to talk about his upcoming project “The Swaggerific Mixtape” and the accompanying contest that’s going down RIGHT NOW!! in addition to his future endeavors (The Swank EP, the official solo album, and The Jones Experience project with fellow Wuogger Lyric Jones).  Also, we feature a new installment of “Diamonds in the Rough,” tons of new heat from the likes of Rhymefest, Black Milk, Ben Stevens, and “The Starting Line Up Countdown” was in full effect with Nobody Famous seeking to “electrify” his way to the #1 spot yet again.

We’ll officially be back to the original format with all the regular segments in place next week. That’s a promise, but until then enjoy this week’s show and your weekend! One Love!!

Yes yes yes!! I know it has been a LONG time since I’ve come through and bless you all with a lovely update (as well as the streams for the shows) but we are back at it after a lay-off. But to those that’s been under a rock the last few weeks, here’s a brief update since the last one!!

On the last day of July, we had the extended family of T-NEB-RCP Music Group come through and we premiered the new record from Mrs. Spotlight herself, Molly B. We were not on that following week though a certain DJ celebrated his 24th b-day that Saturday. Hah. Oh and on August 14th, we had a little event known as Crunk in the Lobby X: The Last Stand and it was a complete and total SUCCESS!! It has been argued that it was the best live performance show ever and according to one listener, THE BEST HHHS EVER!! Now that’s what I call making an impact! But it can only get better from here ladies and gents. Since the chapter of CITL is officially closed, we will be beginning a new concert series entitled “The Graffiti Sessions” and the premiere installment is set to go down in September so stay tuned for that!!

In other news, this past Friday (8/21/09), the First Friday of Fall 2009, we featured performances from “The Last Stand” as well as both the return of Rockwell Jones featuring his new single “Chance Wit U” and the Classic City debut of ATL’s own Slimm Duddy coming through to the station, promoting the first stop on his Merk University Tour and premiering his new record “Dat Merk” featuring that D-O-Double R Dorrough!! Also, we highlighted some of the jams that really set the summer on fire on the HHHS (Started out as a countdown but went out the window afterwards lol). But we’ll be back to the original format this coming week with a new installment of “Diamonds in the Rough,” Nobody Famous pushing to continue his quest for HHHS Hall of Fame greatness on the “Starting Line Up Countdown” and much, much more.
