The Graffiti Sessions Vol. 1: The Show That Owns Itself!!

August 14th, 2009 marked the end of a storied legacy with Crunk in the Lobby X: The Last Stand, but September 25th, 2009 definitely marks the beginning of a new chapter with the very first installment of the HHHS new live music series, “The Graffiti Sessions.” To those that don’t know what I mean, Graffiti is a unique work of art in its purest and rawest form. Very original and is always from the heart and soul of the creator. No two works of graffiti are the same. CITL was focused more on the hip hop side of things, but The G. Sessions is more about branching outside of that realm and dabbling in other genres, and this one was a sign of things to come. It was a night of firsts, the debut performance of Dubmutation, a collaboration of Nolan Terrebonne a.k.a. Jon Gris of T-NEB-RCP and Steve a.k.a. DJ DubNotiq notably known for his work with Dubconscious, the debut of a newly formed urban-alternative group, the Unifed Soul Theory, who will be performing Tuesday Sept. 29th at the New Earth Music Hall, and last but not least the interview with the legendary Spyder D, who was introduced to the “Tree That Owns Itself!!”All this and more in this week’s show. I wanna give major shout-outs to Tommy M., Dubmutation, ESP of U.S.T., Spyder D, DJ S.O.S. and Johnny Dangerous for making the 1st Graffiti Session a successful one. Next week is A3C weekend but we’ll be sure to give you a heaping bowl full of the HHHS goodness the best way we know how. And as a program note, the HHHS will officially be launched with OhZone.org on October 7th. In the meantime, enjoy the music and have a safe weekend! One Love!!
