Well, before we can get to that, we got some catching up to do right? So, first things first from 2 weeks ago, P.O. The Priceless One and REDKLAY (All Day!!), came through the WU for some surprise live performances to promote P.O.’s EP Release Party that following night at New Earth Music Hall as well as speak about the “State of the Classic City Hip Hop Scene.” Plus, we cannot forget about the highly-anticipated Halftime Hip Hop Mixtape featuring DJ Manie’s Baby Makin’ Mix which you can download here. Then, last week, we had the distinct honor and pleasure of having Eddie “Crazy Eddie” Myles of the one and only Zulu Nation come through to speak on the very first annual IDJTA Expo and Awards taking place in Atlanta on August 8-11 which all my DJs can still register to be a part of by heading over to www.idjtrade.com. Also, there was a new installment of Diamonds in the Rough featuring K. Sparks, DJ Trauma, Fokis, and The ILLZ, and Molly B. itching even closer to be only the second female artist (first female hip hop artist) to be in the HHHS Hall of Fame on The Starting Line Up Countdown. And last but certainly not least, the line-ups for both The Collision Course 2.5: Scenic Route Edition AND The Prelude were finally revealed. Enough to want to hit the play button? By all means, knock yourself out, and we’ll be back at it THIS FRIDAY to get you ready for both C.C. 2.5 and Prelude and well…let’s just say it might just be a “House Party” going down. Hahahah.

Only one word that can describe what transpired on this week’s session. Yes, we had the return of Big John Bourbon dropping off a new track from his upcoming album Futuristic Rockstar, another new installment of Diamonds in the Rough featuring Kooley High, Vandalyzm, Skewby, Apollo the Great, Hollywood FLOSS, and the G.P. Mafia, Molly B. looking for the trifecta on the Starting Line Up Countdown, but the major highlight was being in the presence of one the true FOREMOTHERS of this thing we call Hip Hop. Of course, we’re talking about the one and only Sparky D, and she definitely came through the knowledge, speaking about the historic battle between her and Roxanne Shante and even almost 25 years later they are the best of friends, the current state of female hip hop artists, and her awe-inspiring move into Gospel (but don’t get it twisted she is STILL HIP HOP!!!). The summary is short, sweet, and petite and it’s like that because this week’s show will speak for itself. Next week, we got some major tricks up the sleeve, plus we MIGHT hit you off with that Halftime Hip Hop Mixtape that we teased y’all with. Gotta tune in to find out!! One Love!!
