Today I featured a few tracks from the heyday of Okeh (o-kay) Records, later purchased by Columbia but originally started in 1918 by a German immigrant by the name of Otto K. E. Heinzelmann (Hmmm…wonder where the name comes from?), as well as some even earlier vaudeville sketches, then a return to our usual Jitters fare for loyal fans. The sound quality isn’t too bad, especially in comparison to some of the other early 1900’s stuff I’ve found.
